Mentone Activity Centre Drop in Session

SELA Studio attended the Mentone Activity Centre drop-in session at the Mentone Activity Hub (28 February), reviewing Phase 2 draft maps and speaking directly with the project team.

What’s Changing

Clear direction emerging
Draft mapping is starting to define how growth will be distributed across the centre.

Planning framework taking shape
Discussions with government planners confirmed a more structured and coordinated approach to implementation.

Community is engaged
Local attendees were well-informed, with generally positive feedback around future growth.

What This Means

  • Increased certainty is coming, but key settings are still evolving

  • Early alignment with draft controls will be important for future projects

  • Opportunity remains for input before frameworks are finalised

SELA Perspective

The groundwork is being set now. Projects that engage early will be better positioned as controls solidify.

SELA Studio is actively monitoring these centres and working with clients to align early with emerging planning directions.

Definitely one to watch as it progresses.
