Our
Values
Design with Purpose
At SELA Studio, landscape architecture is not applied at the end — it is embedded from the outset. Every project is approached with a clear understanding of its role within the broader urban, environmental and social context. We prioritise outcomes that are meaningful, climate-responsive and enduring, ensuring each design contributes positively to both people and place.
Buildable, Practical Outcomes
Great ideas must translate into real-world delivery. SELA Studio is grounded in the realities of construction, documentation and procurement, ensuring that designs are not only aspirational but achievable. With senior-level oversight across all stages, we deliver clear, coordinated and buildable solutions that stand up on site.
Clarity Through Complexity
Navigating planning controls, approvals and stakeholder expectations can be complex — particularly within evolving activity centre frameworks. SELA Studio provides clarity through this process, guiding clients with experience and confidence. We simplify complexity, enabling informed decisions and smoother project pathways.
Trusted, Senior-Led Service
Every project benefits from direct involvement by an experienced Registered Landscape Architect. SELA Studio operates as a focused, agile practice, offering clients a consistent point of contact and a high level of accountability. We value long-term relationships, clear communication and a collaborative approach that supports successful outcomes.
OUR PEOPLE
A studio that grows with the people and projects we support.
George Amos, AILA RLA No: 24232
Founding Director, Registered Landscape Architect
SELA Studio is led by AILA Registered Landscape Architect George Amos, who has over 15 years’ experience in landscape construction, design, documentation and consulting. He has worked hands-on in design and construction and in senior roles at Melbourne firms, delivering medium to large commercial, civic and urban projects. This practical background means his designs are buildable and informed by how projects are delivered on site.
Before founding SELA Studio, George held senior roles at Jeavons Landscape Architects and Human Habitats, leading project teams and client relationships across varied projects. He has experience with complex planning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and creating designs that meet community and urban needs.
George takes an end-to-end approach to projects, combining clear design, technical precision and strong knowledge of delivery processes.
